System Requirements

This utility works under Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, and Windows Vista.

Using CleanAfterMe

In order to start using CleanAfterMe, simply run the executable file - CleanAfterMe.exe
In the main window of CleanAfterMe, you can choose what do you want to clean, by selecting the desired items. You must read the description of each cleaning item before selecting it, so you won't clean something that you want to keep. For some of the cleaning items, you can also use the 'Open' button in order to view the folder or Registry key that is going to be cleaned. After you selected the desired items that you wish to clean, you can click the 'Show Cleaning Report' button. When using this option, CleanAfterMe will show you the list of all files and Registry values that are going to be deleted, but without actually cleaning anything.
After looking in the cleaning list and you see that everything is fine, you can start the cleaning process by clicking the 'Clean Selected Items' button.

Using CleanAfterMe From Command-Line

/clean <Log Filename> Clean the items that you selected in the last time that you used CleanAfterMe. The cleaning information will be saved into the Log Filename. You can specify an empty string if you don't want to write the log information to file. Examples:
CleanAfterMe.exe /clean "c:\temp\clean.log"
CleanAfterMe.exe /clean ""
/report <Log Filename> Save the cleaning report (only report, without cleaning anything) for the items that you selected in the last time that you used CleanAfterMe. The cleaning report will be saved into the specified filename.

Translating CleanAfterMe to other languages

  4. After you finish the translation, Run CleanAfterMe, and all translated strings will be loaded from the language file.
If you want to run CleanAfterMe without the translation, simply rename the language file, or move it to another folder.
